About

Hi there! My name is Csongor Veres and I'm a freelance Children's Book Illustrator with a BFA in illustration, based in Budapest, Hungary. With over 10 years of experience in the field, I have a strong background in visual storytelling and character design.

I love to create magical pictures, whisical and unique environments for my characters, always paying attention to small little details to help readers to immerse in the worlds we create together with the authors. I work in both traditional and digital media, often combining the two techniques, and I draw everything by hand to keep the traditional feel of the illustration.

I specialize in creating illustrations for picture books, fairy tales and book covers, and I find inspiration in stories about nature, children, dreams, traveling, magic, and kindnesses. My work has been published by a number of international publishing houses and by independent authors, including Hallmark and Happiness Mountain Inc.

Outside of creating picture books, I'm blessed to spend my time with my little daughter, my wife and our playful dachshund.
